- Noise reduction rating (NRR)*:
25 dB for standard Ultrafit and 27 dB for Ultrafit 27.

- *U.S. EPA specifies the NRR as
the measure of hearing protector noise reduction. However, 3M makes no
warranties as to the suitability of the NRR for this purpose. 3M strongly
recommends personal fit testing of hearing protectors. Research suggests
that users may receive less noise reduction than indicated by the
attenuation label value(s) on the packaging due to variation in fit,
fitting skill, and motivation of the user. Refer to applicable regulations
or guidance on how to adjust attenuation label values. It is recommended
that the NRR be reduced by 50% to better estimate typical protection.
Easy
to use- hold the stems to insert the triple flange ear tips into the ear
canals. One size designed to fit most. Options include with or without cord to
suit user preference. Cord material options include vinyl or cloth. EARfit
testable to help validate the level of protection the individual user is
getting.

Moldex hearing bands have two flexible arms that distribute pressure evenly and the soft reusable pods that gently cap off the ear canal appeal to all workers in search of a more comfortable hearing band. Jazz Band now has a higher NRR 25 with 50% less band pressure. The new Jazz Band has been redesigned with increased protection and comfort in mind. The NRR was increased by designing the soft tapered foam pods to correspond to the shape of the ear canal. A more comfortable Jazz Band was achieved by decreasing the band pressure. The end result is greater user fit and comfort which can increase compliance. Workers will want to wear it all day long. The Jazz Band easily hangs down around the user's neck when not in use with the optional breakaway cord. Includes an extra pair of pods.
