Medique SAM Splint is constructed from a thin core of aluminum alloy, sandwiched and fixed between two layers of closed-cell foam. SAM Splints are extremely pliable and moldable, and soft enough to cut with ordinary household scissors. But once bent into any of three simple curves they become extremely strong and supportive. This remarkable device can be configured to support or immobilize any fractured or injured limb. One can even use the SAM Splint to create an emergency cervical collar for neck injuries.
